Introducing Our Academic Head: Dr. Gerard Letterie

Dr. Gerard Letterie, MD FACOG FACP

Precis of the Academy

Dear Reader,

The AI Academy is an educational resource dedicated to providing information on digitization, artificial intelligence (AI) and assisted reproductive technologies (ART) and how these tools can positively influence your fertility practice. The Academy is a series of 20 minute presentations by authorities in the field who have researched and published on the clinical and embryology practice of ART as well as in foundational aspects of AI.

What you’ll get: It’s intended to (1) give a balanced view of the attributes and disadvantages of this new technology without any bias and to (2) provide tools to develop a framework for deciding when and if to incorporate these tools into clinical practice. We’ll look at AI and its impact on 3 elements of practice: clinical outcome, cycle management and workflow improvement. We welcome your participation and invite any comments along the way.

What you won’t get: a pitch for a product or tool; a sales agent calling you or any biased opinions about perceived superiority of one tool over the next.

It’s time we took a critical look at assisted reproductive technologies and artificial intelligence and constructed an intelligent point of view regarding when and if to deploy these tools. Please join us. Who should attend: clinicians, embryologists, nurses and academics interested in AI and Fertility

Sincerely,
Gerard Letterie
